Cold Weather... Starring Legos

I have to say we have been pretty lucky weather wise these past two winters.  Aside form one snowstorm a week after Sandy hit, we haven't had any meaningful snow since LAST Halloween.  Normally I wouldn't complain as I am the one that goes outside and shovels, but the kids want snow.  It's not like we live in an area that doesn't get any snow, two years ago we got record snowfall.  It was almost TOO much to play in and certainly way too much to go sledding.  I know that we are now in the heart of winter but I can't help but think spring is right around the corner.  All I ask is for a little snow, for the kids sake.

I don't think that is too much to ask for.

  1. Great stuff as always, John. That final image is priceless. We too have been missing the snow, the lack of which is our fault. You see, we bought some second hand snow stuff before last winter and never once had a chance to use them, and, well, they still fit. It's a Murphy's thing. We may not get snow until the outgrow those silly snow pants and super warm mittens.

  2. Sometimes I wonder how many LEGOs you have, and how many of them are yours versus your kids.

  3. We actually got enough snow this year that my hubz showed my daughter how to build a FOR REALZ igloo. It stayed up for days, but now it's melted. Breaks my heart. Just last week there was snow on the ground that covered my feet, and ice all over the sidewalks. This past weekend we went out in short sleeves. Ohio weather is fickle.

Love the vid, as always! Hope you guys don't get "TOO" much snow!!! heehee!!!

  6. We don't even need a lot... Just enough to sled down the hill a few times and take a few pics to prove to the kids later in life that it snowed.

  7. We, obviously, don't get snow in LA, but it has been really cold. I had to turn the heater on for the last two days, and I haven't been able to wear flip flops for a couple weeks. :-)
