Birthday Shopping... Starring Legos

My little guy Carter is turning five in a couple of weeks.  My oldest son does seem like he is seven and a half, in fact he seems like he has been alive longer than that.  But the thought of Carter turning five is just mind boggling.  Like any five year old he has a birthday list that is a mile long.  Some of the stuff he has on there HE ALREADY OWNS.  But don't tell him that, he just wants a lot of stuff.  Who can blame him, he's turning five.  At the top of his list is, you guessed it, Legos.  I don't know how there are Legos that we don't have, but somehow he seems to find them.  Most of the stuff he wants I am fine with, but there are some things I just can't let him have.

Maybe it's time to go back to the Duplo sized blocks?!

  3. Man, Cain (C2) will be 7 in a few weeks and like your boys, its all legos. ALL LEGOS. Ninjago stuff, books, legos, all of it. Be careful with the Ninja's they can be very sneaky. I will send you some pic's from legoland discovery on sunday when we go there.

  5. With all those ninjas, you could build your very own Terracota Army!

My 7 year old collects the City collection.  We've got a whole metropolis on our living room - a really expensive miniature metropolis.

  6. I think you could probably built Manhattan with the amount of money we have spent... as far as the Terra Cotta army, I would ver that Lego Vesuvius would erupt.

  7. I love the Dino scene at the end.  That music always makes me smile.  My kids aren't into Lego Brand Building Blocks ... yet.  My son uses Mega Blocks and my daughter has only been able to see well enough to use them for a month but she's already asked for a Lego Friends set.

  8. Just steer clear of the man eating dinos... They could cause serious injury or even death.

  14. My son turned 10 today and all that was on his list was Legos, particularly Ninjago.  My mother made the comment that she could not believe that there were still Legos out there that he did not own.
