I Need Your Opinion

The summer is finally drawing to a close and we are squeezing one last family vacation in before the boys start school after labor day.  We have decided to head on a cruise to Bermuda, I know, how fancy of us.  Anyway, packing for these types of trips can be difficult, as there are formal nights, semi-formal nights, and then just casual nights at dinner.  Since I don't want to overpack, I can only bring one suit and I need your opinion as to which one I should bring.  Both are pretty spiffy, but I don't know if one is too snobby.

Formal Tuxedo
Stylish Suit

I'm thinking that the tuxedo might be a little too formal.  What do you think?

  1. If you have the room, you should totally rock the tux! But in the name of packing light, I'd probably take only the suit bc it covers all grounds. You can even pack some extra spiffy shirts and ties - eg a french cuff shirt + cuff links, bc they don't take up much room in the suitcase, but can really change up your look with one suit.

  2. ROTFL. Love the examples. Wow. Who knew dads have angst over clothing choices too. Very interesting, this blog of yours. Rock the suit, you have small kids with you.

  3. I would go with the Stylish suits, i've wore a tux once and hated every fricken second of it, but i love to sport a stylish suit make me feel important lol :)

So yea Suit > Tux :)

  4. I think I will lean toward the suit as well. I could probably get two nights out of it with different shirts and ties and what not... It's a safe bet. Although I would look legoishly handsome in a tux.

  5. I'm still wrapping my head around the idea that there are Lego guys in a tux and a suit...and that you own them.

Getting past that, I'd say pack 'em both and bring an assistant to carry your little Lego suitcase and Lego daypack.

If you REALLY can't take them both, then it's definitely the suit because you can mix it up throughout the cruise. Although, I've always wanted to show up for dinner in a pair of Bermuda shorts and tails...

  6. My rule is simple: wear a tux the day you're getting married. For the rest of fancy occasions wear a suit.

  7. I like the rule! Two lego suits would just be too much to carry. I mean the rooms on the ships are very small and I do need all the space I can

  8. I say the suit....but save room by only wearing flip flops instead of dress shoes. Problem solved.

  9. Looks like I will go with the suit... the tux seems a little too stuffy anyway. Thanks everyone for your help
